Our story started in 2015, when our founder had an idea to help travellers find and easily access the best cars online at very affordable and pocket friendly Uganda Car Rental rates .
From then to today, we have helped hundreds tourists/travellers each year find cheap, reliable and fast car rental deals in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania.

What We Do
Uganda Self Drives provides online booking for last-minute and year round Motor Vehicle rentals majorly to travellers coming to Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and will soon be opening up services across Africa like Southern Africa. Our mission has always been to offer travellers reliable, quick and cheap car rental in Uganda for self drive and other countries across the continent.
Our Pricing
The Price you will see on our website for different cars is the price you pay – drive away. There are no hidden extras with a Uganda Self Drives booking – we display the the full price of a motor vehicle, so you can pick it up and not have to worry. Incase there extra charges forexample car hire with a driver, camping gear – these will be communicated to you before we confirm the booking. Once your trip starts, we wont ask for any more money from you.
Payment options
We have two available options for our esteemed customers and one of them is that you can choose to pay using VISA to our bank account before you arrival or you can simply pay for the entire Uganda car rental when you collect your vehicle at any agreed point.
However, we still advise you strongly to book your preffered car atleast 4 months prior to your arrival for it to be booked and availed to you at the date of your arrival. Last minute booking tend to be more costly especially during the peak season of June to September.
